TimeStar recognizes the number of weeks within a year rather than the exact number of days.
A bi-weekly pay schedule will generate 26 pay periods per year (52 weeks per year / 2 weeks per pay period = 26 pay periods per year). Since the number of days within a year exceeds that calculation (26 pay periods x 14 days per pay period = 364 days), there will be a crossover from year to year when generating pay periods.
The pay period schedule in TimeStar serves as a guideline and does not impact annual payroll numbers or reporting capabilities.
The same is true for the Weekly period, where the 53rd period cannot be created.
