Request Workflow Group

Request Workflow Groups are used to set Request Workflows to a specific request type such as General, Missing Punch, Schedule Change, Time Off, and TimeStar Messages

Navigating to Request Workflow Group

1. In the Main Navigation menu, open the Company Setup >> Requests Setup folder
2. Click on Request Workflow Group page

Each company will have a default request workflow group that is automatically assigned to every employee.

Add a Request Workflow Group

To add a Request Workflow Group, follow the steps below:

Click the Add button at the bottom left of the dashboard.  This will provide the user with a blank group to select specific request types and which workflows to assign to each

  1. Enter a Name for the Request Workflow Group
  2. Enter a Description for the Request Workflow Group
  3. Ensure Active is set to Yes
  4. In the Add Workflow field, select the request type you would like to set up and click the ‘+’ symbol.  This will drop the request down to the Request type field
  5. By default, 1 Direct Supervisor is applied as the workflow which would send that request type to their direct supervisor.  Change the workflow if necessary.  In the example below, the Time Off requests would allow the employee to select the supervisor the request would go using a Request Workflow.  To see how that Request Workflow can be set up, click here.  Repeat steps 4 and 5 above for any and all request types you may use
