Release Date: June 1, 2026
Enhancements & Improvements
PHP Version: TimeStar is now compatible with PHP v8.2.30
Additional Employment Date Option
The Employee Employment page can now be configured to display either the Last Raise Date or the Accrual Eligibility Date, allowing organizations to show the date that best aligns with their accrual policies.
Enhanced Request Management
Request handling has been improved with additional flexibility.
- Staff can now withdraw requests they submitted to themselves directly from the My Requests tab.
- From the Employee Requests tab, authorized users can now approve or decline requests.
Improved Username Validation
When adding an employee manually, the Username field now validates entries that contain spaces. If a space is entered, the field will be highlighted and a “Cannot contain spaces” message will be displayed, helping prevent invalid usernames from being saved.
Improved Error Messages for Payroll Processing
When closing a pay period, the system will now display a clear message if your organization exceeds its licensed employee count.
More Detailed Payroll Export Validation
Payroll exports now provide more specific guidance when employee records are missing required information. If an employee is missing an Employee Number, the export will fail and display the following message: “Export failed. The following employee(s) have a missing Employee Number: [list of names]”
Issues Resolved
- Salary Re-hires: The system will now respect the termination date and rehire dates when awarding auto-generated salary hours. This applies to lump hours awarded for the period, or hours awarded each weekday.
- Time-off Increments: Minimum Hours Increment value respects all possible incremental values when submitting a time-off request.
- Security Group Lockout: When setting the User Lockout to “Administrative” for a Security Group, the system correctly locks all the users in that Security Group out of the system.
- Day/Period Offset: Resolved an issue with some punches not displaying when crossing the Day End Offset or Period End Offset settings are in use.
- Report Wages: The “Payroll – Hours Worked” report now respects the Pay Rate visibility permissions assigned to the Security Group or User Security of the user running the report.
- User Permissions/Org Level Defaults: Fixed an issue where the User Permissions and Org Level Defaults pages were not showing for the appropriate users.
